The 7 Baskets System was implemented in my life in early 2021, becoming the catalyst God used to help me recover financially after losing everything and accumulating hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt due to failed projects and businesses.
In 2023, after seeking the Lord in prayer, I was led to start
Seven Baskets Financial—a company dedicated to helping believers apply this system, break free from financial bondage, and walk in biblical financial wisdom.
Then, in 2024, during a time of prayer, I felt the Lord instruct me to “write the book.” This led to the creation of “Building Your Storehouse: Thriving in God’s Economy”, a book designed to equip believers with biblical financial principles, strategies, and the faith needed to steward God’s provision effectively.

Charlie Ennis joined Seven Baskets Financial in 2024, feeling led by the Lord to become part of the mission.
Prior to joining the company, Charlie had a strong understanding of financial management, but he has since fully implemented the biblical principles, teachings, and the Three-Tier Financial Strategy in his own life. Since then, he has become an integral leader within the company, bringing discipline, wisdom, and a deep passion for effective financial stewardship.
His commitment to educating and empowering believers has strengthened the foundation of Seven Baskets Financial, ensuring that more families can experience financial freedom and build lasting legacies.
The 7 Baskets System
A Biblical Blueprint for Managing Your Money with Purpose
The 7 Baskets System is a faith-driven budgeting method inspired by Genesis 47:24:
“But when the crop comes in, give a fifth of it to Pharaoh. The other four-fifths you may keep as seed for the fields and as food for yourselves and your households and your children.”
By dividing your income into seven “baskets,” each with a specific purpose, you become a faithful steward of the resources God has entrusted to you. This system not only organizes your finances—it aligns them with biblical principles and your long-term life goals.
Basket 1: House – Living Well and Wisely
Scripture: “By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.” – Proverbs 24:3 (NKJV)
Covers fixed, essential living costs: mortgage/rent, taxes, insurance, utilities, and home maintenance.
By knowing exactly what it costs to maintain your household, you can sow wisely into your shelter, food, and safety.
Basket 2: Storehouse – Savings & Security
Scripture: “Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.” – Proverbs 13:11 (ESV)
Your emergency fund, retirement savings, and other stores of wealth live here. Start small, then increase this basket as debts (the “weeds and pests”) are removed.
Basket 3: Tithe – Partnering with God
Scripture: “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse… and I will pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” – Malachi 3:10 (ESV)
The most important basket—your 10% tithe and offerings to sow into God’s kingdom. This basket can always grow beyond the tenth as your heart leads.
Basket 4: Head of House – Reward for Stewardship
Scripture: “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much…” – Luke 16:10-11 (ESV)
Your reward for managing your household well—funds for personal growth, peace of mind, and celebrating milestones. If it’s not in the basket, don’t spend it.
Basket 5: Field – Investments & Expansion
Scripture: “Whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6 (ESV)
For investments, income-producing assets, and future opportunities. Even starting at 1% can yield exponential results when God blesses the seed you plant.
Basket 6: Trade – Discretionary Spending
Scripture: “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” – Proverbs 22:3 (ESV)
Covers non-essential or easily reduced costs—credit cards, entertainment, subscriptions, and upgrades. The easiest basket to minimize and redirect toward savings or investments.
Basket 7: First fruits – Honoring God First
Scripture: “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce.” – Proverbs 3:9 (ESV)
Set aside a percentage of your increase each year to honor God for your harvest. This basket declares who is first in your life.
